Is that my hand or yours? Nevermind that. As a whole, despite my usual despondent affection for Mr. Alexander Wang, I did not care for his spring/summer 2012 collection. Forgive my distaste for neon blanketing black mesh.

SARTORIAL SANITY: Alexander Wang hits...and misses - by a lot

I hate to say this because I love him dearly, but is it just me or did Alexander Wang's F/W 2011 collection kind of suck? If the models weren't looking like rundown and unraveling mummies, they were stuffed in down tuxedo cocoons, boxy vests or what looked like cheap men's sweaters with a bit of silk at the hemline--not a fan. If anyone has fleshed out any redeeming qualities of this collection, please do share.

Alexander Wang, like always, picked another good one. Zoe Kravitz is the new face of Wang's T by Alexander Wang campaign. I love her rock-pretty look but I do have to say that she looks a little too similar in the majority of the images - she definitely sticks to her "good side."

Shin guards? Cotton armor? I don't know what it is but I like it...

For his Spring 2010 collection, Alexander Wang gave his girls something totally new and I don't really know what to call them. Shin guards? Comfy armor? Slutty calfs? Still not quite sure but I love these cut-out elastic knee-highs. Check out this rad DIY story from Jazzi McG to make your own!

If you are willing to spend one month's worth of rent on something other than rent this spring, spend it on an Alex Wang bucket bag from his new collection. With a stud-lined bottom you won't have to worry about where you put it down and the long strap lets you wear it across your body or as a long shoulder bag - very practical (or just a way to justify its purchase in outweighing putting a roof over your head).

I found these shots from an Alexander Wang photo shoot on one of my favorite blogs but, I'm not sure where they came from or what they're for (new campaign shots?). But, I'm totally smitten with Alex Wang (I think he is adorable!) so I had to post them. Let me know if you know!

FYI - The T Alex Wang Classic t with pocket is almost 50% off at Alexanderwang.com...I ordered one in charcoal and it just arrived today...love it! It is the softest tank with the perfect silhouette. I was feeling really guilty about spending full price ($74) so, for $44, it was a steal!

Too boxy, too slim, too long, too rough- the search for the ultimate tee isn't an easy one. But, my love, Alex Wang has solved this epic conundrum with his line of T's. The most luxurious cotton, Wang designs each T with up the most care on how it will hang on the woman's body. I love the racer-back tank with the low back and draping arm holes. Only problem: I'm trying to somehow justify spending $75 on a tank. I'd wear it ALL the time though, right?
